Exploring With Grace Foundation

The mission of the Exploring with Grace Foundation is to help those in need to have access to activities that improve one’s physical, mental and emotional well being.

About Grace:

Grace Emma Lewis’s goal in life was to help people who could not help themselves. From the time she was very young, her Christmas and birthday lists were filled with requests for donations to charities that supported her passions. She also volunteered her time training her fellow Jiu-Jitsu students and loved helping others at every opportunity.

Grace was a Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, workout, outdoor and animal enthusiast. You could always find Grace at the Jiu-Jitsu studio, boxing gym or regular gym, outside in the woods playing with her dogs, making traps, shooting bows, running, hiking, rucking or whittling. Grace Emma Lewis passed away suddenly on July 20, 2021. Grace was born on March 19, 2003 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a 2021 Indian Hill graduate and a certified EMT and Wilderness First Responder.

Grace is loved and missed terribly by her family, her Jiu-Jitsu, boxing and workout families, her dogs, her friends at Camp Sousley and Indian Hill, and everyone she touched along her journey in life.

About the Foundation

The Exploring With Grace Foundation strives to continue Grace’s legacy by helping those in need. We use funds to support the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of underserved communities, especially children and veterans, through a wide variety of activities but especially through outdoor recreation and jiu jitsu.

Exploring with Grace
Jiu Jitsu Fund

The Lewis Family and Gracie Cincinnati have established Exploring with Grace Jiu Jitsu Fund, which will help underprivileged and at risk kids gain access to Jiu-Jitsu.

Exploring with Grace: Greenacres Fund

The Exploring with Grace Fund honors the memory of Grace Lewis and her love of the outdoors and animals. By supporting the fund, children from groups that provide support services to underserved communities will be able to attend summer programs at Greenacres Foundation. These programs allow children to explore the natural world experiencing creeks, ponds, forests, fields, wetlands and generative agriculture.
